30 Days of Yoga
I spent 15 minutes on my mat tonight going through vinyasas, warriors, pigeon and more. The lights were dimmed, John Mayer playing in the background and sweet romance happened between my yoga mat and me.
Yoga makes me feel in touch with my limbs, my spine and all my joints. It helps me breathe deeper. It relaxes me and keeps me calm. Every day that includes my yoga mat is a good one.
So I am challenging myself and anyone else willing to 30 days of yoga with 10 minutes of yoga each day. Yoga can be a series of vinyasas on the living room floor or a intense class at a yoga studio. I believe 10 minutes is a small commitment for a big outcome.
Make It Happen:
- YogaDownload.com has videos and guides you can download for free or a small price. It is easy to use and has a great selection.
- Yoga DVDs. There are tons out there but this and this are my favorites.
- Local studios range from $5 to $20 in my area. Do some research- some studios will have a pay-what-you-can class or beginner's discounted package. Also, try more than one studio to find one you love.
- Some community centers will offer yoga classes for free or a small fee.
- Lead your own practice! I appreciate a formal class to help me with my form and new poses, but I love a good self-led session. Search poses here to add to your own session.
- Youtube it for free yoga videos!
- Practice in a park with a yogi friend.
Will you join me for 10 minutes of yoga every day for the next 30 days?
