Smoothie King GIVEAWAY!

All Smoothie King stores are now open at 7am for breakfast. Fun change for Smoothie King = fun giveaway for us!

Smoothies are great for breakfast: healthy, quick and portable. As you've read before, I LOVE Smoothie King.

Along with smoothies, muffins and breakfast cookies there are some fun options like Yerba Mate, pomegranate, Mangosteen, Acai… and wheat grass shots!! (Sorry, totally sounding like an infomercial now!)

Giveaway-hoster or not, I haven't been shy about my love for smoothies and Smoothie King for a refreshing and healthy snack. I have two locations within 1.5 miles from my house and visit them frequently!

Check out their new Berry Stimulation Mate smoothie here. I haven't tried it yet but will definitely post a review once I do! Here is a list of all of their customizable smoothies. I love that I can specify my smoothie to be 'skinny' and they will omit any added sweeteners (turbinado sugar or honey).

High and Dreaming

Operation Celebration: For my promised update: Today has gone really well! I was very busy and all over the place, but I maintained my healthy mindset alllll day long! I didn't follow my eating schedule, but that's because my classes/gym-time got in the way. I did meet my calorie range (1,400-1,600) with 1,450! Now I'm headed out to the gym for a good run. Feeling good!

Carolina John was sweet enough to ask about my graduation, trip, etc. so I'll make sure to share some of those fun details!

My current vice? Looking up fabulous dresses for my graduation as if price is of no concern. Ha! A girl can dream, right!? The second one is my favorite! (JCrew!)

I'm in Love

I'm not usually a fan of Old Navy, but I made it a point to stop by there today after hearing about their big sale on outerwear. Most jackets are 50% off! It's tough to even find a store that sells jackets here in Florida!

But boy am I glad I went in! I found (and purchased- of course!) this beauty up top. Look at that color! And it has the best tailored fit.

Friday Quickie

Considering the 12 page paper I have due in, oh... 3 hours, we're going to make this quick! Just a few things:

*I am addicted to running. Seriously, I want to do nothing else other than run. Rain, shine, busy street, whatever! I can run on Bayshore by the water and then into the city with high-rises and historic buildings and back home! At night I stretch thinking of my run and during the day I plan it on mapmyrun.com. Too addicting. Just the other day I ran 4 miles. My next goal is 6! I have it all mapped out! :)

*An added motivation to stay addicted to running is the scale going down! Every day for the past 5 days it has gone down .2 pounds! Some days my eating has been really heavy (too many of those stupid cookies we talked about, the best huge grilled cheese sandwiches), but I work really hard on my run and viola! The scale and I have a nice little thing going on. I really didn't want to speak it- it can't be jinxed!

*Tonight, stretch before bed. Or turn up your favorite song and dance for 5 minutes. Chase the dog down the hall. I promise you will feel great!

* I am going to this tomorrow! And to see this tonight!

I've talked about how much I love Smoothie King before. Sometimes I just crave a refreshing, energizing smoothie. I like Smoothie King because of their many options and the Trim Down section of their menu. My favorite is the Slim N' Trim Vanilla (made Skinny- without turbinado sugar) with added blueberries. It has protein and fruit and fills me up so nicely. Mmm!

Anyway..... I am so excited to announce the first Giveaway on healthy ashley! Smoothie King was generous enough to send me TWO $25 gift cards to Smoothie King (locations can be found here here) for any of their smoothies or other treats for two readers.
