A Good Start

Let's start this week off with everything that makes our walk on this world better.

Nine

I love this picture I took Saturday of Clearwater at night.

1. I want to post about so many different things and I will soon. Right now I'm working on a term project (30 slide, 1,000 word PPT... due tomorrow morning, starting right now!).

2. I put the deposit down on my apartment today. I'm not telling anyone or celebrating just yet because...

3. David and I aren't talking. Relationships are tough and it's even tougher figuring out where to compromise. I need someone who cherishes me and will never walk away.

4. Just an hour ago I found out some really saddening news. Something happened and it makes me think about a lot of things because 1. it puts others lives at risk and is illegal and 2. it was kept a secret. A lot to think about.

5. The rain has always been so cleansing in my mind, so I put on my running shoes the second I heard thunder. My mind is so clouded and sad that the rain falling on me was so freeing.

6. While I was walking, a man in my neighborhood offered an umbrella. I love when there's still good in humanity. Or maybe he was a child molester. (You never know.) I'm just going to tell myself he was being nice.

7. I've eaten a lot of cake recently. I live with my family and my little sister bakes a cake every night. I don't like cake too much, but when it smells great, tastes sweet and everyone else is doing it, why the heck not?! I also keep telling myself, "You'll have no cake or junk food in your house in a week, so nothing counts now!" It's my choice, though, and I'm totally aware of that.

8. My new apartment is amazing. Huge windows, original wood floors and a light peach/tan on the walls. It's a 1 bedroom and the rent is a steal!

9. I told you guys about WalkScore before. You enter in an address and it gives you a walkability score based on how close grocery stores, shopping, parks, libraries, etc. are. My home now is a 3. My new home got a score of 88. That's the best score I've seen. My work is 1 mile away; Whole Foods is 2 miles down the road. That's all I need!

I'll be back soon.
This is Sabrina (in a bathing suit) about ready to be thrown into a pool. We're still waiting ont he test results to see if the dog is in fact human. I'll keep you posted. Click picture to enlarge- it's worth it!

p.s.- In case it wasn't obvious, my Challenge (diet and exercise) is put on hold until after I move. I'll do the best I can until then!

Feelin' Good!

This is my lovely puppy last night. I can not get enough of her! The tongue sticking out? Yeah, that's how she usually sleeps!

Of course I took advantage of Dunkin Donuts' Free Iced Coffee Day! I quickly stopped in after work and before class. I don't like the service much at DD. They move me along so quickly and I never understand what I've just ordered. Sometimes I'd rather give a few extra dollars to Starbucks and be treated special. I am all about customer service. (But the coffee was goood!) Make sure to get your Iced Coffee before 10 p.m.!

And thank you everyone again for your comments a few days ago when I was feeling down. I have since hit the gym and planned my diet with mostly clean foods. My mood perked up right away and I'm feeling in control, healthy and psyched to reach my goals! I've also joined SparkPeople to aid me a bit. I've found that the more involved I can get, and the more obsessive about something I can be, the better I do. Weird, but that's how I am. Some people need to not think about it (weight, calories, etc.), but thinking and planning and number-crunching and imagining is what makes me tick. Yay!

I hope you all are having a fantastic Thursday. Friday is right around the corner!
