Hello from South Carolina!

David and I are in Charleston, SC as Stop #1 of our road trip! I thought I'd share some quick photos.

David's mom was sweet enough to pack us a box of snacks... and some Gas-X (for David!)
The scale has not been happy with me from Thanksgiving, stressful finals, graduation and now this trip. Instead of forgetting about it at home and incurring an additional 10 days of damage, I decided to bring it in attempt to make peace.
Do you ever do something really goofy and say "oh, let's get a picture!"? Well David and I do it all the time. So when I told him to let me snap a picture of him eating the Easy Cheese, I took a video instead. So funny.

By the way- have you ever had cheese in a can? (Soooo goood! Not that I tried it or anything :)

In downtown historic Charleston...

p.s.- I'm officially a gradddduuuaaaatttteeeeee!! Graduation ceremonies are incredibly boring, but I did have fun little post-graduation party afterward! (All healthy eating, of coure!)

Graduation was a big thing for me because I'm only 20-years-old. I started college at 15 when I started high school and have been working my butt off (and giving up a lot) ever since to make it to this day!

What stinks about graduation: no matter how cute your outfit is, nobody ever sees it. Instead they shove you in a gigantic mumu and box hat.

Fashion and PR

So, there's a whole lot to cover like my first 10K (I did it!), a bunch of new readers (heya! thanks for stopping by!), my upcoming trip (itinerary to come!)- oh, and those Smoothie King winners since the contest ends tonight... but right now I need fashion help!

Tomorrow I have a Spotlight Gala at my university for a big public relations campaign my team and other teams in my graduating class did for non-profits. We dress up and get together all the non-profit people, school faculty and friends and family and throw a party!- and then give our well-rehearsed presentations.

I'm trying to pull together an outfit that will stand out, but we have to wear black and white (I'm hoping gray won't ruffle anyone's feathers!).

I'm thinking of this: A gray suit dress (thrift store, $3!!), a black skinny belt, patterned black tights and ankle-strap black heels (thrift store, $2.50!). Please let me know if it works! Please be critical!

Speaking of my graduating class, here are all the great people I've been able to spend the past 1.5 years with in PR classes. Aren't they a great looking bunch?!
And here is my individual team below. These people are great. We've been close since the start so we knew we wanted to work together when we created teams from our class. Matt and I live a block away from each other and have taken quite a few runs!

Here are the PSA's I created:

High and Dreaming

Operation Celebration: For my promised update: Today has gone really well! I was very busy and all over the place, but I maintained my healthy mindset alllll day long! I didn't follow my eating schedule, but that's because my classes/gym-time got in the way. I did meet my calorie range (1,400-1,600) with 1,450! Now I'm headed out to the gym for a good run. Feeling good!

Carolina John was sweet enough to ask about my graduation, trip, etc. so I'll make sure to share some of those fun details!

I promise, Smoothie King giveaway next post!

My current vice? Looking up fabulous dresses for my graduation as if price is of no concern. Ha! A girl can dream, right!? The second one is my favorite! (JCrew!)
