Wow! I am blown away by your comments on my “Required to be Fit?” post. People have different standards when it comes to fitness professionals… and really for professionals in general. I think there was a general consensus that there is more to a trainer than physical appearance but that trainers should be practicing what they preach and that should lead to them being fit (not necessarily thin!). If you missed this conversation, be sure to check it out!
This afternoon I sent off my best friend to the other side of the world for three weeks. This is the second time and it gets no easier. The first few days are definitely the hardest.
I am definitely making it my objective to focus on the good things that come with three weeks alone rather than all that I will be missing. I am going to spend extra time with my furry companions, enjoy some quality girl time and dive deeper into my NASM CPT studies!
Breakfast was a ginormous peach-banana-spinach green monster :)
I managed to squeeze in a nice 15-mile bike ride (16.6mph) while David tied up some loose ends at work.
Lunch involved this hot date and Chili’s Southwestern Vegetable soup (no cheese) and side salad (no cheese.. balsamic dressing on side)… and maybe a few chips :)
I’m so glad I had plans with Ryan, Megan and Lindsey tonight. They definitely kept my mind off the fact that my love had just left me for three weeks!
We hit up Pizza Fusion and Ryan, Lindsey and I shared the large Farmer’s market pizza with soy cheese. Yum!
.. and of course we had to stop by Whole Foods for some vegan cookies before our movie!
My favorite cookie (vegan or not) is Whole Food’s vegan chocolate chip cookie. Seriously.
Of course we saw Julie & Julia tonight! I had some fun reading the blog that started it all before the movie.
The movie was positive, funny and cute. It is different than most movies and I appreciated its originality. There was romance, personal growth… and FOOD! It was really neat to see a blog featured on the big screen.
I’m off to bed to snuggle with Dixie and Jack… be jealous! Good night and good weekend!
