Hello! I had an awesome 16.5 mile run in Baldwin Park this morning! I forgot to go to the bathroom before I left my house at 6:00a.m. so mid-run I had to hop in my car and find a gas station quick! Other than that, I was pretty strong! I maintained about a 10:25 min./mile average.
The drive home from work takes me under the bridge I usually ride my bike over… it always gets me excited to get out for a ride!
Last night I got together a lunch cooler with Shot Bloks, tons of water and an apple for after my run on the drive home. This morning I had 1/2 banana, one granola bar and some OJ. The pre-run combo worked out pretty well!
As soon as I got home I had some of my vegan chocolate chip cookies before hopping in the shower. Mmmm.. those were well-earned!
Lunch was yummy! I had 3/5 block of tofu, tons of organic baby carrots and asparagus- all baked with garlic salt and pepper. The tofu also had some teriyaki sauce and hot sauce on it and was amazing! I also had an unpictured glass of soy milk and piece of whole grain bread with lunch. I was hungry!
I might have also had more cookies… :-)
And I’m off! I have a few things to get done before work. Happy weekend!
