Balancing the Soy

Hello! It’s another gorgeous day in Florida so I’m going to make this short and sweet so I can fit in a bike ride!

All the windows are open again and it is gorgeous! I started the morning with 3/4 c. oats with a banana, ground flax, cinnamon and a touch of soy milk. Yum.

Later I enjoyed honeydew melon and mint tea. I’m eating my way through the last of our summer food!

I was really craving a grilled almond butter and jelly sandwich so I made a homemade cinnamon-flax version. Well… I ended up “sampling” so much almond butter that I filled my belly and had no room for the sandwich :(

IMG_6646   Instead I made a green monster and will have another snack later. In my smoothie I tried out a new protein powder I recently bought at Whole Foods: Jarrow Brown Rice Protein.

I realize I eat a lot of soy and would like to balance that out when possible. This powder is good so far. It definitely adds a distinct taste.
