Missing Sandy

Dogs (and pets in general) are my favorite. I can't help but smile big when they are around. Seriously, I love them like family. They comfort you when you're sad. They are always there for you. Regardless of how good of a person you are they will remain loyal.

The photo above is very old. It's Sabrina (the puppy) and Sandy. We've had Sandy for about 10 years. I love this dog. When I was just a kid and found out she had a heart murmur I would crawl up with her and pray God wouldn't take her from me.

When my step-mother and dad separated last year she took Sandy and we kept Sabrina, the younger boxer. I missed Sandy and her health rapidly decreased. Her heart was weakening and she had trouble walking. It hurt so much to see her like that.
Sunday I found out my step-mother had to put her down. At first I felt fine; after all, she had a great life and it was her time to go.

But now I look at her pictures and think of all the memories with this dear puppy and am in tears... I miss her. I feel the pain through my veins.

Sandy was loving and loyal and selfless. Even when she was sick and could barely walk she'd wobble over to be close to you. She'll be so very missed. <3

In happier news here are some photos of Sabrina (the puppy from the earlier pictures). She's a ham.

Do you have special relationships with your pets? Have you lost any pets that were close to you? If yes, I'm sure you can relate to how I'm feeling!
