I’m excited to see so many of you are joining in on the 30 Day Yoga Challenge! You can start whenever is best for you- just remember to include 10 minutes of amazing yoga each day. Child’s pose counts, too!
Today has been so busy. I was running from point to point all day with only a 15-min. stop home during the 16 hours I was out! I began the day with unpictured oats while catching up on some emails.
I ran a quick two miles before grabbing a few handfuls of raw almonds and driving to yoga. I’m still trying to get my legs back to normal after Grandma’s Marathon. Normally my body bounces back the next day, but this time is different (thanks to the conditions).
I’ve been craving yoga lately. There’s nothing like feeling all cleaned out and in touch with yourself after a hot power yoga class. I took an 80-min. class this morning at Orlando Power Yoga. It was amazing. I sweat buckets and pushed myself farther into old poses and well as experimenting some new ones.
I ate almost a whole pound of cherries on my way to meet Caitlin to repaint a room in her apartment before she moves this weekend. Tear!
Lucky for me I have friends who understand that lunch simply must come first!
We each had a Dr. Prager’s burger topped with spinach, ketchup and mustard on whole grain bread. (I only used a little mustard to see if I’d like it. I did!)
I felt like I was dining next to the Queen! Maggie watched over us the whole time.
Then it was time for work! Caitlin sadly had to cover up this beautiful blue paint with an ugly apartment yellow to get her security deposit back.
RIP, beautiful blue room.
My belly needs food every few hours, so Caitlin was nice enough to feed me a banana with cherry almond butter. Yum!
After a few hours with Caitlin it was time for me to head to yoga class #2! I had been invited by a few friends to try my first class at Guruv. It was my first time doubling up on yoga but I accepted the feel-good challenge!
Before yoga I had a Clif bar and was able to randomly swim 500 m. at the pool. I must be a fish out of water because my body needs to be in the water every day!
Guruv’s hot class was incredible! This was the first class I’ve ever attended that played music and I enjoyed it. The poses were fast and challenging, but they also made sense and opened up every part of my body. This class was empowering if that makes any sense. I sweat more than ever before and will definitely be back!
After class I had to change in the car, bathe with baby wipes, pray I didn’t smell too bad and rush to Brian’s birthday party! On the way I enjoyed a refreshing iced tea and picked up some vegan fare for the party. Hanging out everyone was fun! We talked, ate and played Rock Band. I munched on corn of the cob and everything I brought: pita chips, carrots and hummus. The trio seems to be my go-to for bringing to parties. All my munching added up- the chips and hummus were almost gone at the end of the night and I was the only one eating them. Ooops! ;)
Inbetween Rock Band sessions I was able to squeeze in some yoga! I literally want to do yoga all the time at any place. It’s a great party trick, too! Did you join in on the 30 Day Yoga Challenge? How is it going?!
