Banana Mango

Morning began simply with a banana and several scoops of almond butter.

I took today as an easy day and swam 1000 m. after breakfast. It was glorious. Being in the water is so peaceful to me.

Post-swim I discovered how amazing dark chocolate tastes when dipped in almond butter. That combo didn't stand a chance.

Dixie lucked out today with a trip to the dog park! Next time I'll remember my camera to show you the huge dogs there!
My friend (and "training partner"!) Jon and I visited Tijuana Flats a some fresh, fun lunch.
I forgot to ask for my black bean salad without the bowl, so I ended up eating most of the fried goodness.
I picked up an interesting banana mango hybrid fruit from the farmers' market last week and finally picked it up and ate it on my way to work!
Verdict: Bah. It tasted like a bitter mango, only with a slightly softer texture.
The rest of the day was a series of snacks!
Chia seed pudding with blueberries, half a naner, frozen cherries and cinnamon! I mixed 2 T. seeds to 4 T. water, but the extra water from the fruit made it a bit too watery. Still super yummy and healthy!
(KIND bar x2)
For Dinner Part One I had a 6 in. veggie sub from Subway. Mmmm!
I rarely photograph my crazy midnight snacks, but tonight for Dinner Number Two I had two pieces of toast with almond butter and a POM Wonderful juice.

In other news, I just registered for the Tallahassee Ultra Distance Classic 50 mile trail race! It is December 11, 2010 at Wakulla Springs State Park. The Crooms 50k trail race pushed my limits in the best way possible. I can't wait to tackle 50 miles!

Yes, I only did my first marathon one year before the date of this ultra. Yes, I am ready to train and tackle this distance! My patience runs thin, obviously.
