Swimming Kitty

New look, Designer Greens and swimming Kitty... a lot has been going on!

Sorry for the sporadic blogging... my computer decided to die! Woohoo! Luckily I have a cute boyfriend who lets me steal his laptop :-)

New Look:
I love my little apartment because all the furniture has been handed down to me. I try to live as efficiently and as simple as possible, especially with the current economic state. But I couldn't be happier now that my boss gave me an awesome new couch set! (There's also a big chair not pictures- the chair is the same material as the ottoman.)

Designer Greens:
Today David and I finally tried Designer Greens.
Designer greens is an "interactive salad bar & deli," which means you tell us what you want from our different greens, 35 toppings, 16 dressings and 8 different meat options. We build it for you, toss it all together and hand it over to you. If there are too many toppings to choose from then you may also order from any of our panini, sandwich, and chef designed salad menus. These items have been "pre-designed" like a traditional restaurant. Designer greens has a very contemporary feel with metal furniture, open ceilings, and oversized artwork. the staff is a friendly bunch working hard and fast to make your experience unforgettable.
I am officially obsessed. It's like a Subway/Panera for salad-lovers. I originally thought, "how exciting can you make a salad?" Let's just say my tune has changed- a lot.
And the sizes are HUGE. This is a huge metal bowl that you'd serve a family salad in. They don't skimp on ingredients.
Look at the fork and knife and water cup for size... this bowl was HUGE!

Swimming Kitty:
And what better is there to do after the best lunch ever than to put a cat in water? We gave David's Kitty a bath. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
She was a very good girl. Her meows were almost like a human "noooooo!", but she sat nicely for the most part.
The funniest part is how grimy and skinny she looks when she gets out!

Tonight is David's boss' big St. Patty's Day party. Here's David getting a hat in preparation..) The food spread is amazing. I'll try to take lots of pictures! We can't wait!

What are you all doing this weekend? Any fun Irish festivities?!
