Just kidding :) That was David’s burger from today. None in my belly!
David, Dixie and I spent the weekend back home with our families (about 2.5 hours away from our house in Orlando). Saturday we went out to Zen Forrest with David’s parents. It was a good dinner with great company!
I ordered the Tofu Zen, a yummy combo of fried tofu, veggies and jasmine rice. I let the waitress know that I couldn’t have dairy and she assured me the dish was vegan. She did let me know that the ginger dressing served on the house salad is fish-based! She gave me a fish-free alternative instead. (Check your ginger dressings at restaurants!)
I’m not sure how clear it is in this photo, but the portion is huge! I ate the whole thing!!!
After dinner we changed into our Halloween costumes to join in the neighborhood festivities. Can you believe we didn’t get a real photo?! David was a 90’s rapper and I was…ummm… some lady in a vintage dress?! We passed out some candy and then went to a friend’s for a party. I’ll find some pictures on Facebook of that fun! David’s mom was awesome and bought me some dairy-free Godiva dark chocolate with crushed almonds. Mmmmm :)
Making such a long drive home can get boring, but having Dixie with us keeps it interesting. The back seat is all hers with tons of toys and treats; however, her favorite place is snuggled up to David’s shoulder :-)
I’ll be back tomorrow to tell you about a great run and another great meal :)
