Pushing My Limits

What a week it has been! I am currently in Fargo, ND after finishing my second day at the Fargo Marathon expo with Bondi Band. It has been a long week with little sleep, but I've loved it. I was able to explore downtown Fargo, a few parks and residential streets this morning on a solid 15-mile long run.
Tomorrow normal daily blogging will resume, but I wanted to spill some big news today.

Last Sunday I completed the Florida Half Ironman. It was my first triathlon and, although they still intimidate me to a point, I really enjoyed it. My body liked it, too. I wasn't sore at all and jumped right back into my training the next day (keeping it light with yoga).

I'm a girl with goals and I believe the only way to reach big goals is to build the bridge to get to them. I also live by the testament Do it now, do it now, do it now!! As a result, I moved a life goal up a few years...
I am registered for the Great Floridian, an ultra triathlon (full Ironman distance), this October!

2.4 mi. swim- 112 mi. bike ride- 26.2 mi. run

Yes, this is my biggest undertaking yet. Yes, I have a lot to learn about triathlons and a crap-load of training to do. But I am challenging myself and testing my limits... and that makes me feel alive!

I can't wait to share my experiences with training/nutrition for this!
