Friday and Saturday my mom came with my youngest brother and sister to stay in Orlando with David and me. It was so nice having their company here for a couple of days. While they were here I wanted to show them what I love about Orlando. Lunch at Infusion Tea was at the top of that list.
Everyone automatically loved Infusion Tea’s bright and lively atmosphere. Below is a photo of me, David and my youngest brother and sister.
If you read my blog you know I love Infusion Tea; however, lately I’ve been disappointed. The staff is almost never friendly. When I ask a question or place an order I feel like I’m bothering them. Normally I don’t mind a curt staff, but in a place as wonderful and relaxing as Infusion Tea, it really bothers me.
We ordered a pitcher of the iced Citrus Sunset tea. With a bit of Stevia added to mine, it was perfect.
Call me boring, but I couldn’t stray from what I love most: 1/2 Milton Salad with the Tempeh Chili. The chili has soaked cashews that give it the most amazing texture. Everyone was jealous of the chili :)
For the sake of being called a complainer, I was also upset at how the portions are gradually getting smaller although the price remains the same. The photo above was from yesterday. Below you see the same dish a few months ago. I’ve loved this salad because the huge scoops of hummus and tabouleh… but today I could hardly find it. The chili serving has shrunk, too. I want to use my voice and tell them my thoughts. If I’m thinking it there’s probably someone else out there with the same thoughts, right?

Just over a week ago Julie at Savvy Eats tweeted me telling me to check the mail and to expect something special soon. Knowing the amazing food she makes on her blog, I was instantly excited!
So last week. after a very long and hard day, I came home to an big USPS box filled with delectable goodies and the sweetest card. Julie, you made my day!
She sent Chai Tea Scones, Chocolate Cherry & Sea Salt Scones and PB + Cacao Nibs Granola. I can’t even describe how delicious everything was. The granola was by far the best I’ve ever had. Since Julie doesn’t sell her stuff, I will have to try some of her recipes!
Julie’s card is now out for display on my kitchen counter. Thank you Julie!
Have you ever submitted comments to a restaurant? How did you do it?
