Fun Before the Fall

Yesterday David and I met with my family to take our annual Christmas photos.
Everything went so well. We had some great shots at the University of Tampa.

Then we moved to a park on the grounds and found a cute bridge.

I had a cute idea for all of us to stand and "balance" on the railing/bench.

So I put one foot on the railing/bench and hopped up... and dove right into the muddy pond. I landed on my side.
I think it was about a 4 foot drop. Thank God I didn't land on anything dangerous (glass, metal rod), but I did hurt myself. My head felt like I was hit by a brick and my entire body feels like I've been beaten! It hurt so bad (but it was undeniably hysterical).

After I crawled out of the muddy water I said two things: "My head hurts!" and then "If I'm going to fall off a bridge, you've at least got to get a picture!"
(You've got to blow up the photo to see the mud all over my chest/hands and my face. Yes, I was crying in this photo.)
So after the laughter passed, my family transported me to my apartment where I crawled into a hot shower shoes and all. Then I got dressed and the fun continued.
****Update: The morning after, I am in major pain. I feel like I've been hit by a truck. At least I've got a good story for it!
