I spent Thursday- Sunday in Philly for the Philadelphia Rock'n'Roll expo and race. I had the best time meeting some awesome people, exploring the city and running the town. I can't wait to recap it all for you!
For now enjoy photos of the Reading Terminal Market. Apparently this is a must-visit fixture in Philly, and I am so glad I made it there!
Their website describes it perfectly:"Mouth-watering aromas. Produce fresh from the field. Amish specialties. Fresh meats, seafood, and poultry. Unique, hand-made pottery, jewelry and crafts from around the world. The hustle and bustle of a multitude of diverse people. It’s all here in Philadelphia’s historic farmers market, Reading Terminal Market. An exhilarating selection of baked goods, meats, poultry, seafood, produce, flowers, ethnic foods, cookware and eclectic restaurants are peppered throughout the Market. We invite you to explore this unique and extraordinary historic farmers market in Center City Philadelphia."
This is a foodie's dream. From fresh and raw to prepared and ready-to-eat, from cupcakes to cheese to chicken, this historic indoor market had it all. Every booth had a different feel. It was fun to soak the culture in.The rest of my Philly recap (including the half marathon!) coming soon!
